Who will Mayweather fight next?

Mayweather is rigorously training for his match this September on Mayweather vs Maidana 2, a lot of enthusiastic boxing fans are already speculating wondering and even thinking of potential options for Mayweather for a dream match after Mayweather vs Maidana 2.

And since Mayweather left a clue "big surprise" it's got everyone on a fanatical rave that it "MUST BE" Manny Pacquiao whom Mayweather will be going against inside the ring in the future. And although Maidana gave Mayweather a run for his money in their epic battle last May, the most popular and common opinion was that Mayweather will finally make the right decisions and adjustments for his rematch on Mayweather vs Maidana 2 and win the bout with a knockout. 

Yes, Maidana hit hard... REALLY HARD. But it's always ill-advised that just because he puts someone near the corner doesn't mean he set the standard for everyone to compensate. Here are possible options for Mayweather to choose from if indeed the fight with Pacquiao isn't already pre-ordained:

1.) Miguel Cotto - if it isn't Pacquiao (unlikely) this one will surely be the next contender as Mayweather has requested and granted permission by the boxing governing bodies to defend both of his titles against Maidana. This could probably a hidden move made by Mayweather to prep up for a match with this talented and fierce man right here who is currently holding the Middleweight Class Title. 

2.) Amir Khan - this fight was speculated even before Mayweather vs Maidana 2 was made official after Mayweather and Maidana's last bout in May. People have already been spurting rumors about this match and the boxing fans were also encouraging enough that this should indeed happen. And since Khan is on bullet train of destruction and laying waste along his path, Mayweather will surely be a top contender to his comeback and be the showstopper everyone expects him to be.
